Maria Lopez Belloso

Lecturer at the Social Science and Human Sciences, University of Deusto

She holds a degree in Law from the University of Deusto and a PhD in Human Rights earned at the same University. She has a solid background in research, both in scientific production and in research management, as well as teaching experience. Her thesis on Truth, justice, and reparation processes for victims of forced disappearance in Western Sahara received the Brunet Award in 2017. She also focuses on the emerging possibilities and potential application of new technologies to the promotion and advocacy of Human Rights. She has been the project manager of Gearing Roles H2020 project and participated in other several EU projects. She is part of the University of Deusto´s Gender Interdisciplinary platform and published several articles on Gender Equality.
